The crop jacket was conceived from a need for a light weight jacket that was not wool, or a knit, or too bulky.
This style sits at the high hip, fits mainly at the chest and is relaxed through the body. It works really well over a dress or layered with a tunic or longer length top.
The Cream Cockatoo version is cut from some fabric that has been in our store for a few years now, featuring adorable Black cockatoos and Australian flora. It is a licensed print by Jocelyn Proust, originally ordered through Nerida Hansen fabrics. This is a linen and cotton blend (45/55), it is soft to the touch. It is not creasy like linen as it is a slightly heavier weight fabric, and has the cotton blend.
We have used a stretch cotton drill as contrast, and have covered the buttons to add more of a designer edge to this cute and quirky piece.
